Everything about Unalachtigo Lenape totally explained

The Unalachtigo, properly pronounced W'nalātchtko, comprise the southernmost of the three main divisions of the Delaware Indian tribe (originally called Lenape or Lenni-Lenape). They occupied the west bank of the Delaware River in the state of Delaware, and also the east bank of the river in New Jersey. The name means "people who live near the ocean" and derives from their proximity to Delaware Bay. It has been argued that this particular subgroup of Lenape were forced to cross the Delaware River into New Jersey to escape the inroads of the Chief Conestoga. Their totem was the turkey, and they've sometimes been called the "Turkey tribe" of the Delaware. The totem has no reference to the actual tribe, however, since it was merely the emblem of a geographic division. Their principal seat was Chikohoki, on the site of Burlington, New Jersey.
